FRESH! “Skyclad”

Alvin Risk is part of Skrillex’s OWSLA. The Jack of so many genres in his illustrious career, this long awaited dubstep original features heavy drops that will have you banging your head all day. With an argyle inspiration from a cityscape, Alvin Risk really captured a wide range of listeners after his performance at Electric Zoo. One of Alvin’s favorite things about performing is changing the tempo of the song to get that “OHHH!” reaction from the audience, and he does just that in “Skyclad”.

Boreal (Blood Diamonds Remix)

Once again, it’s Skrillex’s OWSLA bringing forth amazing talent. We posted about Hundred Waters last year, mentioning the dopeness that they ooze.  “Boreal (Blood Diamonds Remix)” features just that. With sick cuts, a steady catchy beat, soulful, soothing vocals, this song takes you on a journey. With folk vocals and trip pop like beats, you wouldn’t expect Skrillex’s OWSLA to sign Hundred Waters, but once you take a listen, you’ll know exactly why he did. With the added swankiness of Blood Diamonds, let them take you out of this world with their ungodly, blissful music.

“Troublemaker” Official Music Video

movies_2001_a_space_odyssey_monolith_desktop_1920x864_wallpaper-217675

It’s officially here!! Haezer’s super sick music video is finally out. Last week we raved about the trailer, and we have definitely not been disappointed.  The music video is absolutely stunning, featuring a very cinematic feel (think Skrillex’s video for First of the Year, (Equinox)). Sort of Spoiler?: The end of the video was a nice twist, we’re not sure if the monoliths were a direct reference to “2001: A Space Odyssey” or if it was just referencing the extra-terrestrial in general. Either way, this is setting the bar really high for EDM music videos, and will be a tough one to beat. Check it out:

We’ve heard Skrillex’s OWSLA bring you Birdy Nam Nam, and just when you thought that was dope, this mix makes it well…check out the description or if you’re like us and read with your ears, then just click play above!

“Flying over the forbidden district avoiding the fancy ones, the Geto Bird is a police helicopter prowling around the American popular districts. Ice Cube made it a hit, Birdy Nam Nam made it a mix.
After several albums greeted by critics and a French Music Award, their third album called The Defiant Order is a strong way back to the hip-hop and turnatablism roots. Out on Owsla (Skrillex’s label), Birdy Nam Nam show their will to share what Europe has already experienced with the United States, Great Britain, Scandinavia and Japan. The whole world is about to discover their album and its reinvented sound by the current best producers : Skrillex, Pelican Fly, Foreign Beggars, French Fries, Djedjotronic, Club Cheval, Sam Tiba, Jackson Lunatic, Dj Sliink, Maelstrom, Nah Like, Soufien 3000, Ryan Hemsworth, Bambounou, High Powered Boys, G-Vump, Mahdyar Aghajani, Culprate, Breakbot, Crackboy, DVNO and La Femme
From these remixes, the band offers this brilliant Geto Bird Mix exclusively made for your ghetto-blaster ! Eight hands playing with 24 tracks for an age-anchored release.
Performing live they have proven having all keys to unexpectedly blow the audience’s mind just like this 3-millions-views video on Youtube ! Pone, Crazy B, Need and Lil Mike or the 4 Fantastiques could pretend saving the world from their platines. Several times DMC’s (French DJ contest) champions, their live performance are clearly coming from another galaxy. “
